Century Plate Lithography Workshop at Center for Contemporary Printmaking
Century Plate lithography is a new, sustainable and environmentally friendly process using re-grainable Century Plates and biologically-based, biodegradable processing materials. In this 3-day weekend workshop we will cover how to grain a plate, registration and paper preparation, how to use a variety of drawing materials, etching, processing, proofing, printing and how to re-grain your plate for a new image.
CCP is located in the historic stone carriage house of the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion in Norwalk, CT, which is accessible from NYC by Metro-North. CCP's printmaking facility is state-of-the-art and their Grace Ross Shanley Gallery hosts many fabulous exhibitions throughout the year.
